Checkmate Candidate Consent Statement

By using Checkmate.tech and continuing my submission on the Checkmate Online Reference Checking Software:

1. I confirm that I have read and understood, and agree to, the Checkmate Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions;

2. I authorize Checkmate Technology Limited (Checkmate) to conduct the pre-employment reference, compliance and/or a background checks on me on behalf of Checkmate’s client, including with my present and/or previous employer(s) that I nominate in this application (Referees). 
   ‍
3. In the event I am employed by Checkmate’s client, I also authorize Checkmate to undertake any ongoing compliance checks notified to me by my employer on behalf of my employer.

4. I certify that the information provided in my application, including Referee and visa details, are true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand and agree that any omission and false or misleading statement may result in the rejection of my application or, if appointed, my dismissal.

5. I understand that Checkmate and Checkmate’s client may collect information about me for the purposes of undertaking the reference, compliance and  background checks notified to me and any other supplementary checks that I agree to (either on a one of basis and/or recurring basis, as applicable). This information may include, the IP (Internet Protocol) Address for which I access the system, my telephone number, email address, Linkedin profile, verbal and written inquiries or information about my employment performance, residency and visa status, professional demeanour, rehire potential, dates of employment, salary, employment history and any other personal information relevant to determining my suitability for employment (and/or ongoing employment, if applicable) on behalf of Checkmate’s client; and

6. I authorize Checkmate to verify all the information provided in respect of the reference, compliance and background checks and any other supplementary checks, and to disclose my personal information for the purposes of performing all inquiries relevant to determining my suitability of employment (and/or ongoing employment, if applicable) on behalf of Checkmate’s client, and release Checkmate from any and all liability for damages arising from the use, investigation and disclosure of such information.

The personal information that Checkmate collects for the purposes of assessing my suitability for a vacancy (and/or ongoing employment, if applicable) will not be shared publicly and will only be made available to Checkmate and Checkmate’s client (and as otherwise specified in the Checkmate Privacy Policy). All information is kept strictly confidential.

Should I have any questions or concerns, or disagree with, the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions or this Candidate Consent Statement, I will contact Checkmate directly via email at team@checkmate.tech without delay, and I will not continue my using Checkmate.tech or continue my submission on the Checkmate Online Reference Checking Software.
